Knowledge of Drugs, Social Support and Life Skills in Preventing and Solving Drug Problems of Anti-Aircraft Artillery King’s Guard Regiment Security Forces Command, Bangkok

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to 1) study the level of knowledge of drugs, social supports and life skills in preventing and solving drug problems 2) compare life skills in preventing and solving drug problems 3) study relationships between knowledge of drugs and life skills in preventing and solving drug problems and 4) study relationships between social supports and life skills in preventing and solving drug problems. The samples were 260 Anti-Aircraft Artillery at King’s Guard Regiment Security Forces Command in the year of 2019. Data were collected by using the questionnaires. The statistical methods used for analyzing the data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, F-test and Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The statistical significance was set at .05 and .01. The results of this study indicated that 1) knowledge of drugs, social supports and life skills in preventing and solving drug problems were at a high level 2) the Anti-Aircraft Artillery at King’s Guard Regiment Security Forces Command who had different educational level, hometown, living condition, occupancy and military turnover periods/ years had different life shills in preventing and solving drug problems while age, marital status, salary, drug use experience and job characteristic had not had in different life skills in preventing and solving drug problems 3) knowledge of drugs had positively correlated with life skills in preventing and solving drug problems with statistically significant differences at .01 and 4) social support had positive correlation with life skills in preventing and solving drug problems with statistically significant differences at .01.
