THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ONLINE LEARNING AMONG LAMPANG RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

Abstract

The objectives of this research were : 1) to study the importance level of teacher competencies, the readiness of students, the external environment, and the effectiveness of online learning among Lampang Rajabhat University students; and 2) to investigate the influence of teachers' competencies and readiness of students towards online learning management’s competencies of Lampang Rajabhat University Students. All six faculties of Rajabhat University's students were randomly selected by the researcher for 376 samples using the Accidental Sampling technique. For data collection, a validated questionnaire was used. Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, multiple regression analysis to assess the research hypotheses.


            The results showed that the importance level of the teachers' competencies were at the highest level with an average of 4.25; the readiness of students at the highest level with an average of 4.23; the external environment as a high level with an average of 4.17; and the effectiveness of online learning as the highest level with an average of 4.21. As for the hypothesis testing of the research on teacher competencies (β= 0.256), the readiness of the students (β= 0.261), and the external environment (β= 0.414)affected the effectiveness of online learning management among Lampang Rajabhat University students. The statistical significance was at the 0.05 level. Which indicates of online teaching needs to focus on both the competency of teachers availability of students and the environment to the effectiveness of online teaching.
