The Effects of Perceived Organizational Support , Quality of Work Life and Work Engagement on Job Performance of Tourist Attraction Organization’s Employees In Amphoe Banglamung Chonburi Province

Abstract

Research article aims to examines the effects of perceived organizational support and quality of work life on employee work engagement and job performance, as well as the effect of work engagement on job performance among personnel in tourist attraction organizations, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. A mixed-methods research design was employed. Quantitative data were collected from 500 employees using a sample-to-observed-variable ratio of 20:1 based on Maximum Likelihood estimation and analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Qualitative data were gathered via in-depth interviews to further support and explain the quantitative findings. Results revealed that perceived organizational support and quality of work life had statistically significant positive effects on both work engagement and job performance. Work engagement showed the strongest positive effect on job performance (β = 0.67), with quantitative and qualitative findings mutually consistently. These findings can serve as a framework for human resource management development in tourist attraction organizations, strengthening perceived organizational support and quality of work life to foster work engagement, ultimately enhancing job performance and long-term organizational sustainability.
