“โรฮิงญาเป็นภัยอันตราย” ภาพตัวแทนของชาวโรฮิงญาในวาทกรรมข่าว การวิเคราะห์อุปลักษณ์เชิงวิพากษ์

บทคัดย่อ
บทความนี้มุ่งศึกษากลวิธีทางภาษาประเภทอุปลักษณ์ในวาทกรรมข่าวเกี่ยวกับชาวโรฮิงญา ระหว่าง พ.ศ.2550-2558 จากหนังสือพิมพ์ไทยรัฐ เดลินิวส์ มติชน คม ชัด ลึก และข่าวสด รวมทั้งสิ้น 620 ข่าว เพื่อวิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการใช้อุปลักษณ์กับภาพตัวแทนของชาวโรฮิงญา โดยใช้กรอบการวิเคราะห์อุปลักษณ์เชิงวิพากษ์ของชาร์เตอริส แบล็ค ผลการวิเคราะห์พบว่าอุปลักษณ์นำเสนอภาพตัวแทนประกอบด้วย 1) โรฮิงญาเป็นภัยอันตราย นำเสนอผ่านการใช้อุปลักษณ์น้ำ อุปลักษณ์ไฟ อุปลักษณ์สงคราม อุปลักษณ์การรักษาโรค 2) โรฮิงญาเป็นภาระ/สิ่งไม่พึงประสงค์ นำเสนอผ่านอุปลักษณ์บ้าน อุปลักษณ์สิ่งสกปรก อุปลักษณ์วัชพืช 3) โรฮิงญาเป็นกลุ่มคนที่น่าสงสาร สื่อผ่านอุปลักษณ์ธุรกิจ 4) โรฮิงญาเป็นปัญหาสื่อผ่านอุปลักษณ์เกมกีฬา อุปลักษณ์การเรียน อุปลักษณ์เหล่านี้ทำหน้าที่ ได้แก่ 1) การแบ่งขั้วพวกเขาพวกเรา 2) เน้นการนำเสนอด้านลบของโรฮิงญาให้โดดเด่นและซ่อนภาพด้านที่น่าสงสารของชาวโรฮิงญา 3) ลดทอนความเป็นมนุษย์ผ่านการเลือกใช้แบบเปรียบที่ไม่มีคุณสมบัติความเป็นมนุษย์เมื่ออ้างถึงโรฮิงญา หน้าที่เหล่านี้ช่วยสร้างความชอบธรรมให้กับรัฐบาลไทยในการสกัดกั้นไม่ให้ผู้อพยพเข้ามาและผลักดันผู้อพยพที่เข้ามาแล้วออกไปจากประเทศ
