Abstract
บทคัดย่อ
ฐานเป็นองค์ประกอบหนึ่งในงานสถาปัตยกรรมไทย เป็นทั้งสัญลักษณ์เพื่อแสดงความหมาย และทำหน้าที่รองรับตัวอาคาร และองค์ประกอบอื่นๆที่ยื่นต่อออกมาจากอาคาร เช่น ซุ้มประตู บทความนี้เป็นการศึกษาถึงการเชื่อมต่อของลวดบัวฐานในงานสถาปัตยกรรมไทย ระหว่างฐานของอาคารและฐานซุ้มประตู โดยใช้กรณีศึกษาจากงานสถาปัตยกรรมสมัยรัตนโกสินทร์ ในวัดพระศรีรัตนศาสดาราม กรุงเทพมหานคร มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาถึงที่มาและแนวคิด รวมถึงแบบแผนในแง่ของการออกแบบ ให้เกิดองค์ความรู้และเป็นแนวทางในการอนุรักษ์ บูรณปฏิสังขรณ์หรือการออกแบบงานศิลปะและสถาปัตยกรรมไทยต่อไป การวิจัยนี้อาศัยระเบียบวิธีวิจัยในทางสถาปัตยกรรม ร่วมกับการวิจัยในเชิงประวัติศาสตร์ศิลปะผลการวิจัยพบว่าการเชื่อมต่อของลวดบัวฐานระหว่างฐานตัวอาคารและฐานซุ้มประตูสามารถจำแนกออกได้เป็น 3 กลุ่ม คือแบบที่มีความสัมพันธ์ต่อกันทุกส่วน แบบที่ไม่มีความสัมพันธ์ต่อกันเลย และแบบที่มีความสัมพันธ์ต่อกันเฉพาะบางส่วนโดยส่วนของซุ้มประตูและลวดบัวฐานมักแสดงถึงความพิเศษที่ต่างไปจากฐานอาคาร เพื่อให้เกิดความเด่นชัด เป็นการนำสายตาเข้าสู่ภายในตัวอาคาร รวมทั้งยังแฝงไปด้วยแนวคิดความหมายที่สื่อถึงเรือนแก้ว หรือรัตนฆระ ปรากฏอยู่ในเหตุการณ์ตอนหนึ่งจากพุทธประวัติในสัปดาห์ที่ 4 หลังการตรัสรู้

Abstract
Base is an element in thai architecture to show a concept and function for support a building andanother protrude element. This research is study for the connection of moulding pedestal in thai architecturebetween the building base and pediment base in a case study of Rattanakosin architecture at Wat PhraSriratanaSasadaram, Bangkok. The objective of this research was to study concept, order and pattern in aspect ofdesigning to beget the knowledge and guideline for the conservation, restoration and design of thai art andarchitecture. This research use architecture and history of art method. The result showed that the connectionof the moulding pedestal are distinguish in 3 group 1. relation 2. staccato 3. some relation. A pedimentand moulding pedestal of pediment are distinctive form to approach inside to the building and represent toRattanakara in the life story of Buddha.
