การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยการตีความปรากฏการณ์และการนำไปใช้ในงานวิจัยด้าน สถาปัตยกรรมภายใน ในประเทศไทย (Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) and Applicability for Interior Architecture Research in Thailand)

Abstract

      งานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพถูกนำมาใช้ศึกษาเหตุการณ์หรือปรากฏการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้น โดยอาศัยการตีความข้อมูลในเชิงตีความการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลจึงต้องอาศัยกระบวนการวิเคราะห์อย่างมีระบบ ละเอียด รอบคอบ จากการสืบค้นงานวิจัยทางสถาปัตยกรรมในระดับบัณฑิตศึกษาของประเทศไทย ภายในฐานข้อมูลของโครงการเครือข่ายห้องสมุดในประเทศไทย (ThaiLIS-Thai Library Integrated System) โดยจำกัดคำที่ใใช้ค้นหาข้อมูลในหมวดหัวเรื่องว่า “สถาปัตยกรรมภายใน” และกำหนดขอบเขตการค้นหา
เฉพาะวิทยานิพนธ์ในระดับบัณฑิตศึกษา ในช่วงปี15 ปีที่ผ่านมา (พ.ศ. 2542-2557) พบงานวิจัยทั้งหมด 172 รายการ และพบว่ามีงานวิจัย 25 รายการที่เป็นงานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยในงานวิจัยทั้ง 25 รายการส่วนใหญ่อาศัยการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลแบบสร้างข้อสรุปเชิงบรรยาย (Descriptive Conclusion) จะเห็นได้ว่างานวิจัยด้านสถาปัตยกรรมภายในเชิงคุณภาพในประเทศไทยยังขาดกระบวนการสร้างทฤษฎีใหม่ๆ แม้ว่าจะมีการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพหลายวิธี แต่การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพเพื่อสร้างกรอบทฤษฎีใหม่ๆ นั้น ต้องอาศัยการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลที่เป็นระบบ การสร้างหรือการเก็บข้อมูลต้องเป็นกระบวนการที่ปราศจากอิทธิพลหรืออคติทางความคิดจากผู้วิจัย บทความนี้ต้องการนำเสนอกระบวนการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพอีกกระบวนการหนึ่ง อันได้แก่การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยการตีความปรากฏการณ์ (Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis:IPA) ที่มีสามารถนำมาใช้สร้างกรอบทฤษฎีใหม่ได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งการนำมาใช้กับงานวิจัยด้านสถาปัตยกรรมภายใน บทความนี้ยังกล่าวถึง หลักการและขั้นตอนในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยการตีความปรากฏการณ์รวมถึงกระบวนการสร้างกรอบทฤษฎีใหม่ (Theoretical Framework)

     Qualitative research approach has been adopted to study events and phenomenon with an interpretative approach. Data analysis in qualitative research requires reliable and comprehensive process. Regarding Thai
Library Integrated System database, within fifteen years (1999-2014), searching with the words “Interior architecture” and under the scope of “Master degree thesis”, 172 theses have been found, and 25 of them was conducted with qualitative approach. Most of these research resulted in descriptive conclusion. Therefore, in Thailand nowadays, there is a lack of interior architectural research whose outcomes propose a novel theoretic framework. Although, several qualitative approaches can be applied for interior architecture research, making a novel theoretical framework requires the approach with comprehensive and precise processes. Researcher bias and forced-data are needed to be eliminated from data gathering processes. This article aims to introduce Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) as an alternative approach with an effective analytical process and a great potential for building the novel theoretical framework for interior architecture research in Thailand. Key concepts, analytical processes, and theory building processes are succinctly explained in this article.
