Abstract

บทคัดย่อ

     งานวิจัยนี้มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาปรัชญาแนวคิดและความหมายของลวดลายจีนและศึกษาลักษณะรูปแบบลวดลายจีน เพื่อวิเคราะห์วิวัฒนาการของลวดลาย จากการทบทวนวรรณกรรมเกี่ยวกับเงื่อนไขทางประวัติศาสตร์และวัฒนธรรมของจีนก่อนยุคใหม่ คติความเชื่อ และความหมายของลวดลายจีนตามขนบเพื่อรวบรวมข้อมูลจำแนกและแจกแจงประเภทลวดลายจีนตามขนบ การวิจัยนี้พบว่า วิวัฒนาการเชิงสัญลักษณ์และความหมายของลวดลายประดับจีนตามขนบ เริ่มจากลวดลายเพื่อการตกแต่งที่มีลักษณะเป็นนามธรรมวิวัฒนาการไปสู่ความสมจริง เริ่มจากการใช้แม่ลายเดี่ยวๆ ไปสู่การนำลายต่างชนิดมาประกอบกัน และสุดท้ายจากภาพประดิษฐ์ล้วนๆ ไปเป็นการผสมกับอักษรและอักษรประดิษฐ์ ส่วนด้านสัญลักษณ์และความหมายในชั้นแรกอาจไม่มีความหมายเพราะเป็นแค่การตกแต่งหรือมีความหมายที่เฉพาะเจาะจงเพราะใช้ลายเดี่ยว ต่อมาเมื่อมีการเชื่อมโยงกับคติความเชื่อความหมายง่ายๆ ไม่สลับซับซ้อนค่อยๆ พัฒนาไปมีความลึกซึ้งในเชิงสัญลักษณ์ความเชื่อโดยเล่นการใช้คำพ้องเสียงหรือใกล้เคียงกัน และเปลี่ยนเป็นซับซ้อนขึ้นจากเนื้อหาที่แปรเปลี่ยนไปสู่สัญลักษณ์ ระดับความหมายพัฒนาจากการแทนค่าตรงๆ หรือไม่มีความหมายเพราะมีวัตถุประสงค์ด้านความงามล้วนๆ ไปสู่ความหมายนัยตรงและไปสู่ความหมายนัยรองที่ต้องอาศัยการตีความจากคติความเชื่อและวิถีชีวิตประเพณีที่ส่วนมากมีความหมายเชิงสิริมงคลต่างๆเป็นอาทิ

Abstract

The objective of this research is to study the concept and meaning of traditional Chinese ornament patterns to analyze the evolution. From the review of the literature about the history of China before the modern, belief and meaning of Chinese ornament patterns to gather information and categories of the Chinese ornament patterns. This research found that the evolution of traditional Chinese ornament patterns is the long-term evolution process of forming stylized and meaning, from simple to complicated ones. The Chinese ornament patterns evolved from the abstract to the realism, from single motif to combination patterns, from image to and character, and eventually turn to complex combination of motif. Originally Traditional Chinese ornament patterns were meant to ornate or decorate objects with a motif so that its meaning was specific and simple, reflecting the aesthetic taste of different periods and aesthetic ideals of rich cultural connotation. Then, evolved into complex, subtle and symbolic ones relying on belief. Consequently, by means of homonym, the simple meaning turn to the complex symbolic ones. The meaning developed from the denotation, a simple, clear-cut meaning or no meaning with pure aesthetic, to connotation, which required interpretation based on belief and traditional ways of life. Almost all the symbolic patterns signify auspicious meaning.
