ศึกษาการออกแบบงานสร้างในภาพยนตร์ไทย

Abstract

บทคัดย่อ

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์  เพื่อรวบรวมผลงานการออกแบบงานสร้างของภาพยนตร์ไทย และศึกษาแนวคิดออกแบบงานสร้างภาพยนตร์  ผู้วิจัยได้วางขอบเขตของการศึกษาผลงานภาพยนตร์ไทยตั้งแต่ปี 2540 – 2551 โดยคัดเลือกภาพยนตร์ที่มีคุณค่าด้านงานออกแบบงานสร้าง  รวมทั้งสิ้น  11 เรื่อง  โดยใช้วิธีวิจัย  2 วิธีการคือ (1) การวิเคราะห์กระบวนการออกแบบงานสร้างในผลงานภาพยนตร์  (2)  การสัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึกจากผู้ออกแบบงานสร้างภาพยนตร์  3  ท่าน

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ในภาพยนตร์ทั้ง 11 เรื่อง มีภาพยนตร์ย้อนยุค (Period Film) จำนวน 9 เรื่อง มีเพียง 2 เรื่อง เป็นภาพยนตร์ในเหตุการณ์ปัจจุบัน  จากผลการสรุปชี้ให้ความเห็นว่า  ภาพยนตร์ย้อนยุคเป็นภาพยนตร์ที่มีความโดดเด่นในงานออกแบบงานสร้าง  สามารถมองเห็นการทำงานได้อย่างเป็นรูปธรรม  ซึ่งต้องใช้ความอุตสาหะและงบประมาณสูงในการทำงาน

แนวทางการออกแบบงานสร้างภาพยนตร์ส่วนใหญ่ เน้นที่จะสร้างความสมจริงมากกว่าความสวยงาม  โดยออกแบบขึ้นจากข้อมูลทางประวัติศาสตร์หรือภาพอ้างอิงและให้ฉากดูมีชีวิตกลมกลืนกับตัวละคร  จากการวิเคราะห์การออกแบบงานสร้างในภาพยนตร์ไทยพบว่างานออกแบบมีแนวโน้มให้คนดูรู้สึกสมจริงมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ  มีเพียงภาพยนตร์เรื่องเดียวคือ ฟ้าทะลายโจร  ซึ่งต้องการสร้างความสวยงามของภาพมากกว่าความสมจริง

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to compile production designed works in Thai feature films then have them analyzed to find out their working process.  This research has placed scope of work to study 11 of Thai films with top quality in production design produced from 1997 – 2008. Two methodologies have been used for this study; 1. Analyze production design working process 2. Intensively interview 3 filming production designers

The results of the research found that there are only 2 out of 9 recognized Period Films are films related to current events. The production designer believes that period films have an outstanding or exceptional in production design. The working processes are visible and concrete which require both of high efforts and high production cost as well.

Most of production design concepts put emphasize on realistic than aesthetics. All designs have been brought up from historical data or references pictures. Moreover, scenes in the films are lively and harmonious with the actors. From the analysis, the researcher found that the production design prefers to make people feel realistic more and more. However, there is only one film, Tears of the Black Tiger, which intends to create beautiful pictures than realistic.
