รูปแบบพื้นผิวกันกระแทกภายในห้องน้ำสำหรับผู้สูงอายุ

บทคัดย่อ

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษารูปแบบพื้นผิวกันกระแทกภายในห้องน้ำสำหรับผู้สูงอายุ เพื่อเสนอแนะแนวทางรูปแบบพื้นผิวกันกระแทกภายในห้องน้ำสำหรับผู้สูงอายุในสถานสงเคราะห์โดยศึกษาพื้นผิวภายในห้องน้ำอาคารพิบูลสุขและอาคารสุขสันต์ในศูนย์พัฒนาการจัดสวัสดิการสังคมบ้านบางแค 1 ในปัจจุบัน พบว่า พื้นผิวภายในห้องน้ำในสถานสงเคราะห์บางแค 1 มีพื้นลื่นและเปียกชื้นอยู่ตลอดทั้งวัน ทำให้ผู้สูงอายุลื่นหกล้มได้ง่าย เนื่องจากสภาพร่างกายและการรับรู้ของผู้สูงอายุที่มีความเสื่อมถอยลงไปตามอายุที่เพิ่มมากขึ้น การลื่นหกล้มส่วนใหญ่จะเกิดอาการบาดเจ็บจากการกระแทกพื้นและผนัง หรืออุปกรณ์ภายในห้องน้ำ ได้ทำการสัมภาษณ์เจ้าหน้าที่ผู้ดูแลผู้สูงอายุเกี่ยวกับปัจจัยในการเกิดอุบัติเหตุการลื่นหกล้มภายในห้องน้ำของผู้สูงอายุ และสังเกตการเคลื่อนไหวภายในห้องน้ำขณะอาบน้ำจากอาสาสมัครผู้สูงอายุขณะทำการอาบน้ำ ในบริบทการอาบน้ำแบบตักอาบภายในห้องน้ำ จากการวิจัยพบว่าสาเหตุการลื่นหกล้มนั้น เกิดจากพื้นห้องน้ำ ผู้วิจัยจึงสนใจศึกษารูปแบบพื้นผิวภายในห้องน้ำสำหรับผู้สูงอายุในศูนย์พัฒนาการจัดสวัสดิการสังคมบ้านบางแค 1 ซึ่งอาจจะเป็นแนวทางหนึ่งในการช่วยบรรเทาอาการบาดเจ็บที่เกิดจากการหกล้มของผู้สูงอายุภายในห้องน้ำได้ โดยคำนึงถึงปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อรูปแบบพื้นผิวภายในห้องน้ำสำหรับผู้สูงอายุทั้ง 3 องค์ประกอบ ได้แก่ องค์ประกอบทางด้านลักษณะภายในห้องน้ำ องค์ประกอบทางด้านการเคลื่อนไหวภายในห้องน้ำของผู้สูงอายุ และการสำรวจพื้นผิวภายในห้องน้ำสำหรับกันลื่นและกันกระแทกที่ใช้ในปัจจุบัน รวมทั้งนโยบายและกฎหมายที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการออกแบบสภาพแวดล้อมสำหรับผู้สูงอายุ ผลการศึกษาเบื้องต้นพบว่า แนวทางรูปแบบพื้นผิวกันกระแทกภายในห้องน้ำสำหรับผู้สูงอายุในศูนย์พัฒนาการจัดสวัสดิการสังคมบ้านบางแค 1 ไม่มีการปูพื้นผิวกันลื่นหรือพื้นผิวกันกระแทกภายในห้องน้ำในอาคารพิบูลสุขและอาคารสุขสันต์ นอกจากอาคารสวัสดิ์ผลที่เป็นหอพักรวมสร้างขึ้นมาใหม่ในภายหลัง ดังนั้นห้องน้ำสำหรับผู้สูงอายุควรปูพื้นด้วยกระเบื้องขนาดเล็กและมีรอยต่อจำนวนมากเพื่อลดแรงเสียดทานขณะผู้สูงอายุทำกิจกรรมภายในห้องน้ำ และปูพื้นด้วยพื้นกันลื่นหรือพื้นกันกระแทก มีลักษณะยืดหยุ่น และง่ายต่อการดูแลรักษาทำความสะอาด ป้องกันความชื้น  รวมทั้งควรมีแสงสว่างที่เพียงพอต่อการใช้งานและการถ่ายเทอากาศที่ดีภายในห้องน้ำสำหรับผู้สูงอายุ

Abstract

The objective of this research is to study type of bathroom tile surface for elderly in order to suggest type of tile surface in bathroom for elderly in the foster home. The research was conducted at the bathrooms of Piboonsook and Sooksan buildings at the Development Center and Social Welfare Banbangkhae 1. The results have found that bathroom surface at Banbangkhae 1 foster home was slip and wet all days and the elderly is easily fall down due to their conditions of health and acknowledge is deteriorated. Injury cased by falling down often related with impaction with floor and wall or equipment inside the bathroom. Interview was made with the officer who taking care of the elderly at Banbangkhae 1 foster home regarding factors contributing to the elderly falling down in the bathroom together with observing the movement of the elderly falling down in the bathroom together with observing the movement of the elderly volunteers inside the bathroom during taking a shower using bowl to pour water. The result has found that cause of falling down is bathroom floor. The researcher is therefore interested in the study of type of tile surface in bathroom for elderly at the Development Center and Social Welfare Banbangkhae 1 which may be one option to alleviate injury of the elderly due to falling down inside the bathroom. The study was performed concerning 3 factors contributing to type of bathroom tile surface for the elderly including bathroom characteristics, elderly movement inside the bathroom, and the survey of anti-slippery and anti-impact tile available in the market as well as related policy and laws of environment design for the elderly. The primary outcome has shown that there were no anti-slippery or anti-impact tiles inside the bathrooms of Piboonsook and Sooksan buildings at the Development Center and Social Welfare Banbangkhae 1. However, there were anti-slippery or anti-impact tiles at Sawasdipol building, a dormitory, which was newly constructed. Therefore, the bathroom for elderly should be floored with small size of tiles with several connections in order to reduce friction during the elderly using the bathroom and should be floored with flexible anti-slippery or anti-impact tiles which is easily for caring and cleaning, prevent moisture, as well as be equipped with sufficient illumination and well ventilation.
