        งานวิจัยเรื่องภาพยนตร์ไทยนอกกระแสกับภาพสะท้อนปัญหาสังคมไทยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) วิเคราะห์แนวคิด
ประเด็นปัญหาสังคมและภาพมายาคติที่ปรากฏในภาพยนตร์ไทยนอกกระแส 2) เพื่อค้นคว้าแสวงหาแนวคิดและสไตล์ของ
ผู้กำกับภาพยนตร์ไทยนอกกระแสอันนำไปสู่การสร้างองค์ความรู้ 3) ค้นหาแนวคิดอุดมการณ์ที่แท้จริงของผู้กำกับภาพยนตร์ในการสร้างสรรค์ภาพยนตร์ไทยนอกกระแสในปัจจุบัน 4) สร้างสรรค์ผลงานภาพยนตร์นอกกระแสจากการศึกษา ค้นคว้างานวิจัยเพื่อสะท้อนปัญหาสังคมไทย ซึ่งผู้วิจัยได้วางขอบเขตการศึกษาภาพยนตร์ไทยนอกกระแสที่ได้รับรางวัลภาพยนตร์ยอดเยี่ยมตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2547-2557 เป็นจำนวน 10 เรื่อง มีระเบียบวิธีวิจัย โดยการวิเคราะห์ผลงานด้วยทฤษฎีภาพยนตร์และการสัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึกผู้กำกับภาพยนตร์จำนวน 5 ท่าน จากการวิจัยพบว่าแรงบันดาลใจการสร้างภาพยนตร์ไทยนอกกระแสมาจากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัวของผู้กำกับภาพยนตร์ ที่มีส่วนเชื่อมโยงกับประเด็นปัญหาสังคมซึ่งแฝงด้วยแนวคิดลัทธิมาร์กซิสต์ โดยใช้ทัศนคติส่วนตัวตีแผ่มายาคติของสังคมไทย สไตล์ของภาพยนตร์อยู่ในแนวทางสัจนิยมใหม่อันเกิดจากรสนิยมของผู้กำกับซึ่งได้รับอิทธิพลมาจากภาพยนตร์นอกกระแสในต่างประเทศ อุดมการณ์ของผู้กำกับภาพยนตร์เหล่านี้สร้างภาพยนตร์ขึ้นเพื่อถ่ายทอดความคิดและอารมณ์ความรู้สึกส่วนตัวโดยไม่มุ่งหวังผลกำไร ซึ่งผู้วิจัยได้นำข้อค้นพบมาสร้างสรรค์ภาพยนตร์ในแนวทางของตนเอง

Abstract

        The purposes of this research are to; 1. Analyze concept of social problem issues and mythologies in Thai non-mainstream films 2. Study and survey concepts and styles from Thai non-mainstream film directors that lead to body of knowledge 3. Search for the real ideologies of directors creating films at present period 4. Create non-mainstream filmbased on the result of this research to reflect issues in Thai society.This research has a scope of work to study best picture awards from 2004-2014 includes 10 Thai films. Two methodologies have been used for studying. analyze films by using film theories and in-depth interview 5 film directors. From
this research we found that the inspiration to create films came from personal experience of directors themselves which are related to social issues obscured with Marxist theory. The directors use their own views to unfold Thai social mythologies. Styles of film represent Neo-realism where came from directors’ taste influenced from foreign non-mainstream films. With the ideologies of these directors films have been created to communicate his thoughts and emotion with no money oriented because all movies makers received non-profits funding which
cannot obligate the director’s idea. As a result, the researcher has accumulated all findings to create the film.
