บทคัดย่อ

        การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์สภาพทั่วไปและปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงของบริเวณตลาดท่านาตั้งแต่อดีตถึงปัจจุบัน โดยพิจารณาจากลักษณะทางกายภาพ สังคม เศรษฐกิจ รวมถึงกิจกรรมที่เกิดขึ้นในแต่ละช่วงเวลา ซึ่งความน่าสนใจของบริเวณตลาดท่านาอีกประการหนึ่ง คือ บริเวณตลาดท่านาอยู่ภายใต้การดูแลของสำนักงานทรัพย์สินส่วนพระมหากษัตริย์ซึ่งให้ความสำคัญกับการพัฒนาทางกายภาพของสถานที่เช่า และการส่งเสริมคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดีขึ้นให้กับผู้เช่า จึงมีความแตกต่างกับการจัดการพื้นที่ของเอกชนที่เน้นการพัฒนาโดยยึดประโยชน์ส่วนตนของเจ้าของทรัพย์สินเป็นหลัก ดังนั้นจำเป็นต้องทำความเข้าใจพัฒนาการ และทราบถึงปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการเกิดและการเปลี่ยนแปลงของบริเวณตลาดท่านาในแต่ละช่วงเวลา เพื่อนำผลที่ได้ไปใช้ในการปรับปรุงแผนให้ตรงกับความต้องการของคนในชุมชนผลจากการศึกษาสามารถอธิบายถึงปัจจัยหลัก ที่มีผลต่อการเกิดและการเปลี่ยนแปลงของบริเวณตลาดท่านาได้เป็น 2 ช่วงเวลา คือ ปัจจัยหลักที่มีผลต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงของบริเวณตลาดท่านาในอดีตและปัจจุบัน ซึ่งปัจจัยหลักที่มีผลต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงของตลาดท่านาในอดีต คือ ปัจจัยทางกายภาพ ซึ่งเป็นตัวกำหนดบทบาทของพื้นที่ทั้งด้านสังคมและเศรษฐกิจให้เป็นไปในทิศทางต่างๆ ได้แก่ ลักษณะการตั้งถิ่นฐานที่ผูกพันกับแม่น้ำตั้งแต่ในอดีต อีกทั้งการค้าขายและบริการซึ่งรุ่งเรืองอย่างมากในช่วงที่พื้นที่มีลักษณะความเป็นเมืองท่า กล่าวได้ว่าลักษณะทางกายภาพที่ดี ส่งเสริมให้เกิดการพัฒนาพื้นที่สู่ความเป็นศูนย์กลางการค้าและบริการ สำหรับปัจจัยหลักที่มีอิทธิพลต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงของตลาดท่านาในปัจจุบัน คือ แผนนโยบายของภาครัฐ จากสำนักงานทรัพย์สินส่วนพระมหากษัตริย์และหน่วยงานภาครัฐอื่นๆ ล้วนมีอิทธิพลในการพัฒนาและเปลี่ยนแปลงพื้นที่ร่วมกับปัจจัยทางกายภาพ แต่ขณะเดียวกันแผนนโยบายต่างๆ ของภาครัฐก็ส่งผลให้การรับรู้ต่อความหมาย รวมถึงเสน่ห์และเอกลักษณ์ของพื้นที่ลดลง ซึ่งเป็นส่วนสำคัญที่มีผลต่อความซบเซาของบริเวณตลาดท่านา

Abstract

        This research aims to analyze the generality of Tana Market, Nakorn Pathom Province and the various factors affected the changes which occur in this area from past to present by considering the characteristics of physical, social, economic and activities from various periods. One of the remarkable things about Tana Market is the working approach of the Crown Property Bureau who owns the area with emphasis on improving livelihood of population; this is a different from other private areas management. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the background and aware of the factors influence Tana market in each period to be applied in planning to meet the needs of population. The results of this research show 2 possible factors as follows: 1) the main factors affecting the changes in the past, include the physical factorswhich determining the roles of social and economic characteristics, such as the riverside settlement on Nakornchaisri River that affected the lifestyle of people in the community bound to the river, especially trade and services that grow glorious in Tana Market as a seaport area. Hence, the good physical appearance promotes the area to be a Trade Services Center. 2) the main factor influencing the change in the present is the government policies and the physical factor. However the main goal of their development desires to make Tana Market more vigorous and sustainable. In addition the impacts of their works also change the sense of place, charm and unique of the area, which is a very important thing that effect Tana Market to become stagnant.
