Abstract

This study is a quantitative research which aims to investigate degree of organisational commitment and factors related to the organisational commitment of teaching staff at Rajabhat Universities. A survey research design was adopted to accomplish this study. The samples were 452 full-time lecturers working in 40 Rajabhat Universities. The research instrument was a constructed questionnaire. The statistics that were applied to analyze quantitative data were comprised of descriptive statistics; frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean and standard deviation, and inferential statistics; Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, Chi-square and Gamma test. The finding indicate that : the teaching staff of Rajabhat Universities appear to have a high level of organisational and nine factors; 1) work tenure 2) attitude to organisation 3) career development 4) compensation management 5) welfare and fringe benefits 6) organisational climate 7) human resource management policy 8) organisational culture and 9) leadership of senior management, are positively correlated with organizational commitment of Rajabhat Universities’ lecturers at the .05 level of statistical significance.
