Structural Equation Model of Market Orientation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management and Effectiveness in the Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO)
Main Article Content
Abstract
The purpose of the study was to develop and validate the precision of structural equation modeling casual factors affecting the effectiveness of the GPO with empirical data. The research applied both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. In terms of qualitative method, a total number of 300 questionnaires were sent to people who work in marketing cluster of the GPO and 280 or 93.33% were returned. The statistical tools used were percentage, mean, standard deviation, skewness and kurtosis; meanwhile, structural equation model (SEM) was employed to examine the variables association. In term of quantitative method, in-depth interview was used as a tool collecting data from 5 persons of supervi sor and manager in marketing cluster of GPO and the data was analyzed by content analysis.
The results from casual analysis suggested that market orientation had a statistically signicant inuenced in the positive direction towards logistics, supply chain management and effectiveness. Lo gistics had a positive direct effect towards supply chain management and effectiveness. Furthermore, supply chain management had a positive direct effect towards effectiveness. The hypothetical model of causal factors was in line with the theoretical model, demonstrating the following statistics: X= 82.33, df = 64, p-value = 0.06122, Relative X = 1.28, GFI = 0.96, AGFI = 0.93, RMR = 0.023, SRMR = 0.023, RMSEA = 0.032, P-Value for Test of Close Fit = 0.94, NFI = 0.99, IFI = 1.00, CFI = 1.00, CN = 310.94. As a result, it was suggested that the pharmaceutical industry should concentrate on market orientation, logistics and supply chain management in order to increase the effectiveness potential.
