Development of An Internal Quality Assurance Model for Private School in Krabi

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to 1) study the operational problems of internal quality assurance for private schools in Krabi; 2) develop the internal quality assurance model for private schools in Krabi; and 3) examine the suitability of the internal quality assurance model for private schools in Krabi. The research use samples were 52 respondents, including school administrators and teachers, selected by purposive sampling. The questionnaire was used to collect data. The data were analyzed by mean and standard deviation. Step 2 was used to develop an internal quality assurance model for private schools in Krabi, in which the item-objective congruence index was evaluated by five experts. Step 3 was used to examine the suitability of an internal quality assurance model for private schools. The samples were 52 respondents, including school administrators and teachers, selected by purposive sampling. The questionnaire for suitability, feasibility, utility, and accuracy was used to collect data. The data were analyzed by mean and standard deviation.


The research findings were as follows. 1) The operational problems of internal quality assurance for the school overall and each aspect were at a low level. The development of the internal quality assurance model showed that the model was developed under the management process using the P-D-C-A quality cycle, including four steps: educational standardization of school; implementation of educational quality development plans; and supervision, monitoring, and evaluation of educational quality. The results of the educational quality assessment showed that the content validity indexes of all components were between 0.80 – 1.00.3) The suitability examination of the model showed that the suitability, feasibility, utility, and accuracy of the model were at a high level in every aspect.
