SANGHA’S PARTICIPATION FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT IN BANLUEAK SUB-DISTRICT, PHOTHARAM DISTRICT, RATCHABURI PROVINCE

Abstract

This research article was to study participation, comparison of the opinions, and study problems, obstacles, and suggestions of Sangha’s participation for community development in Balueak Sub-district, Photharam District, Ratchaburi Province. Methodology was the mixed research methods that the quantitative research used the questionnaire as the tool to collect the data in the field study from 385 samples in Balueak Sub-district, analyzed with frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation (S.D.), t-test, F-test, One-way Analysis of Variance and Least Significant Difference: LSD. In addition. The qualitative research collected data from document and from 7 key informants by  interviewing  and analyzed data by content descriptive interpretation.

Founding’s were  that 1) participation had an overall opinion at high level, 2) gender, age, education, occupation, and income were personal factors by with the opinions were not different, denying the set hypothesis. and 3) problems and obstacles were that some people still live their lives with negligence, should the dissemination of knowledge about sufficiency Economy Philosophy and the Dhamma of the public with an emphasis on promoting processes be applied in the real life. Moreover, there was still local drug problem. There should be training course organized on danger of drug abuses, especially among vulnerable youths.
