THE PROJECT WAT PRACHA RATH FOR HAPPINESS CREATION TO SUSTAINABLE TEMPLE DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

This academic article aimed to study the project of the Wat Pracha Rath, monastery, people and state, creating happiness for sustainable monasteries development. with the principles for reforming Buddhist affairs in 6 areas according to the vision: “Prosperity of Buddhism, maintaining morality, leading society to sustainable peace” and implementing the national strategic plan that is “stable, prosperous, sustainable” concretely to improve the quality of life and the mind of the people to make Thai society a center for the dissemination of Buddhism valuable to mankind in order to have stability that will benefit the promotion of Buddhism and sustainable development.

When considering the objectives, missions, to a beautiful monasteries with happiness, this will begin with the development of the physical area of the monasteries to be clean, shady, beautiful, as a place of worship. There are appropriate environmental management principles according to the 5S principles to create a sanctuary. The working principle of the Wat Pracha Rath building happiness project, which must include project guidelines (3-5-7-9 towards sustainability), together with working tools (5S) and integration of Sappãya7 principles with monasteries development. It is an extension of the development of social and learning spaces of monasteries and communities with Buddhist cultural practices and the development of mental and intellectual space of monasteries and communities in line with Buddhism. When fully implemented, it is a comprehensive operation in all dimensions of sustainable monasteries development in accordance with Buddhist guidelines. Because there are goals that lead to the development of the mind and wisdom that is important.
