A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF CONSTITUTIONAL LAW AND POLITICAL INSTITUTIONS OF THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA AND THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES

Abstract

Objectives of this research were: 1. To study the evolution of politics and governance. Constitution and political institutions from the past to present of the Republic of Korea and the Republic of the Philippines, 2. To analyze the relationship between the legislative power and the executive power in the presidential form of government of the Republic of Korea and the Republic of the Philippines. Conducted by qualitative research, collected data and information from related documents and textbooks, analyzed data by descriptive interpretation according to research objectives.

Findings were as follows: 1. The evolution of politics and governance Constitution and political institutions from the past to present of the Republic of Korea and the Republic of the Philippines. The Senate is part of a political institution. The Republic of Korea's parliament is a unicameral system. Only the National Assembly but the parliament of the Republic of the Philippines is a bicameral system. It has both the House of Representatives and the Senate. 2. The relationship between legislative power and executive power in presidential regime Government institutions of the Republic of the Philippines are the government is governed by a president who is both the head of government and the head of the administration with a cabinet appointed by the President to assist the President in the administration of state affairs Therefore, it is considered a presidential system without a prime minister as an assistant to the president. while the government institutions of the Republic of Korea is a presidential system where the Prime Minister is an aide to the President. and the Prime Minister is also the Chief Minister.
