Abstract

The research project was divided into 3 phases. The first phase was to study the development and renovation of the Sansab waterside communities in regard to the Government policies and laws as well as urban expansion and community growth. The second phase was concerned with the design guidelines. Finally, the third phase was about the implementation of the guidelines for the selection of Bankrua, Bandon and Saikongdin communities in terms of preliminary investment analysis and project management as well as guidelines for designing physical control. To conserve the architecture, art and landscape of the Sansab waterside communities, the architectural heritage conservation plan and the landscape renovation plan should be operated together. The success of the project relies heavily on the cooperation of the communities stakeholders, and organizations concerned as well as the integration of all information about the areas in a holistic way.
