Behavior Model of Environmentally Friendly Consumption

Abstract

The research objectives were to study environmental knowledge, environmental attitude, environmental participation, inspiration of public mind, and environment friendly consumption behavior. This survey research used questionnaire to collect data from 400 people in Muang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The results shown that environmental knowledge, environmental attitude, environmental participation, inspiration of public mind, and environment friendly consumption behavior were high in all aspects. Moreover, consumption knowledge, environmental education, and inspiration of public mind affected environment friendly consumption behavior of people for 73.50 percent with statistically significant at level of 0.01, inspiration of public mind being the most influential variable (β=0.782). This indicates that people will change to environment friendly consumption behavior, when there are exemplary persons to be a prototype or advertisement in different media to promote the environment-friendly consumption behavior.
