Abstract

The main purposes of this research were to study the need for further education and variables influencing decision to apply for admission to MBA Programs. The research samples were 418 students at 5 higher education institutions in Samutprakran Province. Questionnaires were used for collecting data. The research found that most students decided to study MBA in General Management for career advancement on Saturday or Sunday. Most students wanted to work before further studies. Funding for study was mainly their own money. Information for further education was searched through the internet. Most students paid attention to the curriculum first. The curriculum and cost of study were variables that were associated significantly (p≤0.05) with decision to further studies at MBA level.
