The Development of Critical Thinking of Nursing Science Students

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to study critical thinking skills, critical thinking skills after participation in critical thinking skills workshop, and opinion of the nursing students on the workshop of first year nursing students at Kasam Bundit University in the 2018 academic year. The sample consisted of 65 first year nursing students at Kasem Bundit University. The research instrument was a critical thinking skills test. The results revealed that the mean score of critical thinking skills of the students was moderate. After participating in the critical thinking skills workshop, the students showed an increased critical thinking score but still in moderate level. Additionally, the students were very satisfied with the workshop.
