บทคัดย่อ

ความหมายของการพัฒนาประเทศที่เป็นที่ยอมรับโดยทั่วไปในปัจจุบัน ใช้แนวความคิดของ การพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน (Sustainable Development) ซึ่งฝ่ายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน (Division for Sustainable Development) แห่ง Department of Economic and Social Affairs ขององค์การสหประชาชาติ เสนอตาม Brundtland Report โดย World Commission on Environment and Development (1987) ให้ความหมายดังนี้

          “Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of the future generations to meet their own needs”

          “การพัฒนาซึ่งตอบสนองความต้องการในยุคปัจจุบันโดยไม่ทำให้ความสามารถในการตอบสนองความต้องการของยุคอนาคต ต้องลดน้อยลงไป”
