Abstract

PURPOSES: To look into the process and problems in the preparation of futsal teams for competition in the 14^th 17-year-old National Futsal League organized by Office of the Basic Education Commission.  METHODS: It was a sample survey research with a questionnaire for 223 samples. RESULTS: In the preparation of the futsal team, there were moderate problems at both overall and individual levels in descending order as follows: training, selection, budget, and equipment and facilities. The problems were not different significantly at p= 0.05 between Bangkok and provincial teams as well as between team managers and athletes. CONCLUSIONS: Budget, equipment and facilities, team member recruitment, and training need improvement.
