Competencies Development of Tourism Industry Personnel for Senior Foreigner Tourists Service

Abstract

        This study aims to present the concept of tourism industry personnel competencies development including knowledge and skills aspects in order to serve senior foreign tourists. It is found that the tourism industry personnel competencies needed to be developed in order to serve senior foreign tourists are knowledge and skills competencies.  While the knowledge competencies needed to be developed are senior health and first aid, skills competencies needed to be developed are communication skills, interpersonal skills, service skills, problem solving skills and information technology skills.
