Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is double-spaced; uses a 16-point font of TH SarabunPSK on A4 paper size, the article’s length is at least 5000 words, not exceed to 7000 words (or 15-20 pages) ; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines - using Chicago Citation Style.

Author Guidelines

Journal of Social Sciences Chiang Mai University is an academic journal which is emphasized on multi-disciplinary approaches. It aims to promote and to publish the academic works on Social Sciences in Thailand and those that are relevant to ASEAN’s neighbors. The journal opens and give an opportunity for both review and research articles, to publish, and a postgraduate student’s writing, developed from their doctoral or master thesis, focusing on the areas of Sociology, Anthropology, Development, Gender, Geography, Geo-Informatics, Politics, Environment, Ethnicity, and Resource Management.

  1. The Author should submit their original article by typing double spacing, using Font TH SarabunPSK 16 points, on A4 paper size, the article’s length is at least 5000 words, not exceed to 7000 words (or 15-20 pages)
  2. Submitted article must have the Abstract, both in Thai and in English, including Keywords, and the abstract should no longer than 100 words
  3. Reference system, using Chicago Citation Style.
