Abstract
ในขณะที่การวิจัยเป็นกระบวนการแสวงหาความรู้ในด้านต่างๆ อย่างเป็นระบบ หากมิติทางจริยธรรมกลับเป็นเงื่อนไขพื้นฐานสำคัญในการยอมรับความน่าเชื่อถือของทั้งผลการศึกษา ตัวบุคคลผู้ศึกษารวมทั้งสาขาวิชาชีพที่ทำการศึกษา จริยธรรมในการวิจัยทางสังคมศาสตร์พัฒนาขึ้นจากการวิจัยทางการแพทย์ บทความนี้ตั้งข้อสังเกตถึงการปรับใช้หลักจริยธรรมที่พัฒนาขึ้นจากการวิจัยทางการแพทย์ในการวิจัยทางสังคมศาสตร์สุขภาพ ความแตกต่างในธรรมชาติกรอบคิดและระเบียบวิธีการศึกษาโดยเฉพาะในการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (qualitative methods) ที่ทำให้การประเมินจริยธรรมในการวิจัยจำเป็นต้องอาศัยความยืดหยุ่นควบคู่ไปกับการดำเนินการที่กำาหนดเป็นแบบแผน
