Thai Identity Effecting Nationnal Security Conservation

Abstract

Thai identity is one of the factors responsible for Thailand’s prosperity and survival. The Thaiidentity indicative of the integral Thai collective picture consists of such national helpful institutes as nation, religion and king. Thai cultural forms are social structure, language and tradition, etc., and national habits are such that love of freedom, and home town, etc., However, there is a weak point in Thai identity. Particularly certain national habits not contributing to strengthening and integrating the nation can be seen in the forms of violating rules and regulations, inability to work in group and weakness when without leadership and so on. Nevertheless, even though there are some problems and occasional crisis, Thailand has had its original identity potentials to solve those problems and crisis, such that it has introduced coordination, toleration and capability to be worrior. Furthermore, even though we have sometimes been disrupted by disunity and failure to extreme point of finality, we still have our own methods to solve the national-decline with a strong and not shaking determination as the great hero of the nation, King Naresuan the Great, had effectively utilized.
