This article studied metaphorical expressions and conceptual metaphors related to investment in stock exchange business discourse. The results revealed that there were metaphors of investment in stock exchange business discourse which could be divided into two groups ranging from the highest to the lowest number of metaphoric expressions found as follows: 1) Investment [INVESTMENT IS COMPETITION], [INVESTMENT IS WAR] and [INVESTMENT IS JOURNEY]; and 2) Portfolio Investment which was exemplified by [PORTFOLIO INVESTMENT IS CREATURE]. This metaphorical expression could be divided into [PORTFOLIO INVESTMENT IS PLANT/PERENNIAL PLANT] [PORTFOLIO INVESTMENT IS PROLETARIAT].
