Rural Women’s Status and Role on their Adoption of Vegetable and Fruit Processing and Preservation Technology

The population for the research comprised 209 rural women seventy-two (72) women from Ban Fang Village in Tambon Ban Fang of Kranuan District, Khon Kaen Province, one hundred and thirty-seven (137) women from Subwai and Koke Sa-nga Villages in Tambon Nong Sa Rai of Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, The data were collected through interviews, and statistical assessment techniques of percentage, chi-square distribution, and Yule’s Q at the statistical significance level of 0.05 were used. The results were found as follows. 1) The differences in the aged groups and the membership in community groups were shown to have no significantly effects to the technological adoption. 2) The accessible levels of knowledge from training program, the participating level in community development activities, the family capita incomes, the exposure levels of message indicated highly significance to the levels of technological adoption.
