The Structural Equation Model of Supportive Human Resource Practices, Job Autonomy, and Work Passion Affecting Innovative Work Behavior of Employee in Information and Communication Technology Businesses

Abstract

         The purposes of this research were 1) to study the influence of Supportive Human Resource Practices, Job Autonomy and Work Passion that affect to Innovative Work Behavior of the employee in ICT Businesses and 2) to construct and suggest the causal model of factors influencing Innovative Work Behavior of the employee in ICT Businesses. This study was a quantitative research. Data were collected by using questionnaires. The sample consisted of 355 employee who was working in field of computer and technology, network and communication, engineering, and R&D. Data were analyzed by using structural equation model analysis. The research results revealed that the hypotheses model had a congruence with empirical data. The employees had Innovative Work Behavior at high level. Hypotheses test showed that 1) the Supportive Human Resource Practices and Job Autonomy had significantly positive influenced on Work Passion and Innovative Work Behavior. Furthermore, the Supportive Human Resource Practices and Job Autonomy had significantly positive indirect influenced on Innovative Work Behavior that was mediated by Work Passion. Finally, the causal factors that have the highest direct effect on Innovative Work Behavior were Work Passion, Supportive Human Resource Practices, and Job Autonomy, respectively.
