Mixed Methods Research: What’s it for?
Main Article Content
Abstract
Mixed methods research (MMR) is the integration of both quantitative and qualitative research methods in the same study. Researchers are increasingly interested in this research design since MMR can provide broad and deep research answers. However, before employing MMR, researchers should understand the core purposes and the essence of this research approach, including the understanding of limitations and its related context. Therefore, this article presents the appropriate research problems, the core purposes, and the decision criteria for designing MMR. Researchers can use this paper as a guideline in designing their research projects.
