Abstract
Cruelty Prevention and Welfare of Animal Act B.E. 2557 has been given in the 26th day of December B.E. 2557. This act has been forced from day following the date of its publication in Government Gazette shown by section 2. Although this act has been reacted against by any people are likely performed any act of cruelty to animals and by groups of dog trafficking, this act has been finally forced cause of supporting by group of animal’s lover. Since Cruelty Prevention and Welfare of Animal Act has been declared, there are many critics of this act in several topics such as, the suitable of definition of “cruelty”, the scope of act of cruelty to animal and act of non cruelty to animal, and the suitable of punishment.
This article presents Cruelty Prevention and Welfare of Animal Act B.E. 2557 in some critic topics and comparing with Animal Welfare 2006 of England, in terms of the definition of “animal”, the meaning of “animal cruelty”, the act of non cruelty to animal and the punishment of a guilty person.
