Abstract
ประเทศเกาหลีหรือสาธารณรัฐเกาหลีใต้นับเป็นประเทศที่มีความเจริญก้าวหน้าในหลายด้านทั้งทางสังคม เศรษฐกิจ อุตสาหกรรม รวมทั้งด้านการศึกษา นอกจากนี้ประเทศเกาหลียังให้ความสำคัญแก่ห้องสมุดเป็นอย่างมากเพราะตระหนักว่าห้องสมุดกับการศึกษามีความสัมพันธ์กันอย่างแยกไม่ได้ ห้องสมุดถือเป็นหน่วยสนับสนุนการเรียนการสอน ประเทศเกาหลีจึงพัฒนาการศึกษาและห้องสมุดโดยสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือของหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องและห้องสมุดต่างๆเพื่อเอื้อประโยชน์ซึ่งกันและกันทั้งในระดับประเทศและนานาชาติ มีการออกนโยบายสำคัญๆ เกี่ยวกับการศึกษาและห้องสมุดเพื่อมุ่งพัฒนาสังคมเกาหลีให้เป็นสังคมแห่งการเรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิต
