มุมมองของคนไทยต่อการอพยพเข้าประเทศ
บทคัดย่อ
การอพยพเข้าประเทศส่งผลต่อการเมืองไทยอย่างไร บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อทำความเข้าใจและอธิบายมุมมองของคนไทยที่มีต่อการอพยพเข้าประเทศ โดยใช้กรอบของการศึกษาที่พัฒนาขึ้นจากการทบทวนวรรณกรรมที่เกี่ยวข้องกับปัจจัยที่ใช้ในการอธิบายมุมมองของสาธารณะต่อการอพยพเข้าประเทศ และวิธีการศึกษาเชิงปริมาณโดยอาศัยข้อมูลเชิงสำรวจของ Asian Barometer Survey (ABS) ที่ได้ทำการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลในประเทศไทยในช่วงเดือนตุลาคม พ.ศ. 2557 ผลการศึกษาของบทความนี้บ่งชี้ว่าประชาชนชาวไทยส่วนใหญ่มีมุมมองที่สอดคล้องกับประชาชนในประเทศอื่น.ๆ ในภูมิภาคเดียวกัน ได้แก่ ประเทศกัมพูชา มาเลเซีย พม่า และสิงคโปร์ คือ ไม่สนับสนุนการอพยพเข้าประเทศ มุมมองดังกล่าวได้รับอิทธิพลจากตัวแปรที่หลากหลายทั้งตัวแปรทางเศรษฐกิจ สังคม ภูมิหลังทางประชากร และจิตวิทยาทางการเมือง ผลการศึกษาของบทความนี้นำไปสู่บทสรุปที่สำคัญของบทความที่มีความสอดคล้องกับผลการตรวจวัดทัศนคติต่อการอพยพเข้าประเทศของคนในหลายประเทศทั่วโลก ถึงแม้ว่าจะมีบางประเด็นที่เป็นลักษณะเฉพาะของสังคมไทยก็ตาม
