The Cultural Dynamic of Akha Phamee ethnic group, Chiang Rai Province

Abstract

This research aimed to study the cultural dynamic of the Akha Phamee ethnic group in (within) the context of cultural change ranging from the past to 2020. Doi Pha Mee is now one of the popular tourist destinations for the first coffee growing area in Thailand.

The results showed that Akha Phamee had a gradual cultural dynamics along with the changing conditions of the contextual changes in the surrounding community. The changes could be seen from physical and cultural features, such as beliefs, rituals, accessories, costumes, including construction in the community and the performances on various occasions both inside and outside the community.
