Abstract

The study titled “Guidelines For Enhancing the Potential of  Support Personnel Chiang Mai Rajabhat University to be a living model based on King Rama IX’s Working Principles” has two primary objectives: (1) to assess their capacity, readiness, and willingness to serve as role models for living according to these principles; and (2) to propose strategies for enhancing the capacity of support personnel to become exemplary figures in this regard. The first sample group consisted of 213 support personnel, randomly selected in proportion to a 95 % confidence level from a population of 473 individuals across all university's internal units. A questionnaire was employed for data collection from this group. For the second and third sample group, focus group discussions were conducted. Descriptive statistics, including frequency distribution, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, were applied to analyze the questionnaire data, while content analysis was used to interpret information obtained from the focus group discussions.


The data analysis results can be summarized as follows: (1) support personnel have a capacity, readiness, and willingness to serve as role models for disseminating knowledge about these principles were at a moderate level; and (2) four strategies were proposed to enhance the capacity of Chiang Mai Rajabhat University support personnel as role models for living according to the work principles. These strategies are categorized into two groups: 1. Direct strategies for support personnel: (1.1) Enhancing knowledge, understanding, and skills for disseminating the work principles. (1.2) Promoting attitudinal change toward volunteerism and willingness to provide services. 2. Indirect strategies not directly involving support personnel: (2.1) University policies supporting the involvement of support personnel in academic service to society. (2.2) Establishing collaborative networks with internal and external organizations.
