WATER TRAFFIC IN BANGKOK METROPOLITAN ADMINISTRATION

Abstract

The main objectives of “Water traffic in Bangkok metropolitan administration” were threefold; 1) to study the new way of water traffic of Bangkok population and the natural city of river, both past and present; 2) to study on the link of the state policy and readiness to take action of the water traffic in order to promote tourism, cultural and environment; 3) to present research’s results to the agencies know the advantage to the development and improvement of water traffic of Bangkok achieve success.

The result showed that water traffic in the canal of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration was not the dream. In fact, we could look back about 235 years ago, we would see the wonders of this community that people traveled by boat as main water traffic. The 26 specialists who gave important information of economic, social, political, transportation and cultural, were selected as the sample for this research to find how to bring Bangkok Metropolitan Administration back to be East Vanice. From the growth of the city and increase of population has become a large city which indicated the need to improve of water traffic for another option to people in the future.
