SOCIAL INFLUENCES THAT AFFECT THE POLICY OF PREPARING THE COMMUNITY INTO THE ELDERLY SOCIETY IN THE NORTHEASTERN REGION

Abstract

Objective of this research are study about factor which support aging physical exercise of  citizens including 1) to study Policy the social influences affecting to exercise promotion for elderly adults .2 Study the relationship of policy factors according to social dimensions and the needs for physical activity of the elderly in the community), and 3) and to propose a model of exercise promotion for elderly adults of the northeastern region. The samples used in this research were 420 elderly adults living in City Municipality, Town Municipality, Sub-district Municipality, and Sub-district Administrative Organization (SAO).  Instrument used was a questionnaire.  Data were analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation.  As regards the social factors were comparative analysis by 1) t-test, F-test 2), chi-square test, 3) Correlation Coefficient, 4) Multiple Hierarchy Regression Analysis, and 5) Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The research results were found as follows:

  1. The social factors influencing the exercise promotion for elderly adults in the northeastern region revealed that social factors influencing the participation in exercise activities of the elderly adults were statistical significance at .05 and .01 level. The variables arranging from the highest to lowest weighted scores were as follows: social level in community level, community level, organizational level, interpersonal level.
  2. The comparison of social factors and exercise promotion for elderly adults of were statistically significant difference at .05 and .01 level.  The variables arranging in order from the highest to lowest weighted scores were as follows: planning, organizational management, personnel, directing, processing, coordinating, and site management.
  3. The model of exercise promotion for elderly adults was to provide a fitness center with a variety of exercise activities in accordance with lifestyle, having facilities, shady atmosphere as well as the fitness equipment to be suitable for all age groups.

Suitable environment and furslety factor for exercise of aging .Find out are the important of aging exercise concern with social factor such as Social level in community, community level, organization level, interpersonal level position .However processes in organization are significant .Finally
