A STUDY OF THE IMPACTS OF THE COVID-19 SITUATION AFFECTING COMMUNITY TOURISM AREAS IN PATHUM THANI PROVINCE

This academic paper describes the results from the survey research on the study of community tourism resources about the impacts of the COVID-19 at Muang Pathumthani, Lamlukka, Sam Khok, and Khlong Luang in Pathumthani province, Thailand. The study was carried out by collecting data and in-depth interviews with knowledgers from 27 different areas. The results showed that the situation of the COVID-19 was epidemiced affecting the tourism industry to all four districts of Pathumthani Province, Thailand. Both as a cultural, natural and ecological tourism destination, as well as the problem of reduced number of tourists. Also, the ccommodations and restaurants was temporarily closed. Access to attractions is controlled for safety reasons and even more cleanliness. Tourist destinations where local food is sold is restricted due to hygiene issues. In addition, tourist attractions with accommodation and accommodation have decreased their trust due to distrust of local standards. Including tourist attractions with recreational activities being canceled due to social distancing measures. This research reveals the current situation of the four community tourism sites in Pathumthani Province, Thailand. And can use data from survey research to further develop in the development of sustainable community tourism development plans.
