Abstract
This study aims to gather information on the distinctive cultural capital of Northeastern (Isan) communities and to produce a documentary video on the cultural capital of communities in five provinces: Ban Kut Wa, Kalasin Province; Ban Hua Khua, Khon Kaen Province; Ban Hua Khua, Maha Sarakham Province; Ban Rai, Chaiyaphum Province; and Ban Kiriwongkot, Udon Thani Province. A qualitative research approach was used, with data collection through interviews. The target group consisted of 10 key informants, including local scholars and community elders, 2 from each community. Additionally, quantitative research was used to evaluate the quality of the produced video. The findings are divided into three main areas: 1) Outstanding cultural capital information of the Northeastern communities; 2) Production of the documentary video on the cultural capital of these communities following the five stages of video production and documentary creation (Klainak, 2007; Wipasrinimit, 2009), including planning, pre-production, production, post-production, and evaluation of the video; and 3) Evaluation results of the video quality based on the viewing experiences of 37 children, youth, and community members, which showed that the overall quality of the video was rated very high, with an average score of 4.57 (SD=0.61).
