Community Participation in House Police Projects Towards Preventive Working Crime Suppression Bang Bua Thong District, Nonthaburi Province

Abstract

        This quantitative research aimed to study community participation in the police housing project for crime prevention and suppression and to compare community participation in the project in Bang Bua Thong District, Nonthaburi Province. The population consisted of 450 people participating in the police housing project in Bang Bua Thong District, Nonthaburi Province. Descriptive statistics used for data analysis included frequency distribution, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Comparative analysis statistics included t-test and F-test.
      The study results revealed that overall community participation in the police housing project for crime prevention and suppression in Bang Bua Thong District, Nonthaburi Province, was at a high level (x̅ = 4.05, S.D. = .62). When considering each aspect, participation in benefits was at the highest level (x̅ = 4.11, S.D. = .64), followed by participation in decision-making and planning (x̅ = 4.06, S.D. = .65), participation in activity implementation (x̅ = 4.03, S.D. = .62), and participation in monitoring and evaluation (x̅ = 4.01, S.D. = .68). The comparison of community participation revealed that people with different genders, ages, education levels, and lengths of residence in the community did not have significantly different opinions on overall and individual aspects of community participation in the police housing project for crime prevention and suppression in Bang Bua Thong District, Nonthaburi Province.
