Abstract

       The research is an action research and uses Flowcharts and Data flowcharts as research tools. The objectives of the research consisted of 1) to study business operation procedures and problems related to accounting information systems, 2) to develop accounting information systems for use in business case studies, and 3) to implement new accounting information systems. 
      The research found that 1) Organizational structure consists of Sales Department, Engineering Department, Warehouse Department, Finance and Accounting Department, HR department with the business owner as the general manager. The business sells products to general customers and bidding on projects from the government sector. The problems found include: the problems of follow up the project and the work of the engineering department, the problem of out of stock due to lack of ordering and the problem of tracking customer collection. 2) The development of accounting information systems used My SQL database management, and design data files and sub-programs to enhance the work of the engineering department, warehouse department and follow-up on collection from customers, this makes work faster and management can follow up on the performance of the engineering and collection department of the sales department, and 3) results from trials and interviews, it was found that the executives were satisfied with being able to follow up on the work of various departments and complete the ordering process, and collecting money from customers faster and satisfactorily.
