Abstract

The objectives of this research were to examine the conditions and to find out a guideline for participative student affairs administration of Thebodin Withaya School in Chiang Mai Province. The informants were 67 individuals involved in student affairs of the school. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The content analysis was used to analyze the data and the findings were summarized and presented descriptively. The research results are summarized as follows.


  1. The conditions of the administration in five domains, namely, student activity work, student council activity work, interest group activity work, school activity work, and public relations work, were top-down without participation in organizing these activities.

  2. The guideline for the participative student affairs administration revealed that the participation process brought about efficient administration, which included collective brainstorming in organizing student activities by all concerned individuals, collective planning for student activities according to the annual plans, collective organization of student activities, participatory evaluation and conclusion of the results, and participation in benefit sharing.
