Development of Educational Curriculum in Early Childhood Education Prototype of Private school : A Case Study of Stree Wat Paknam School

Abstract
This qualitative case study aimed at studying the educational curriculum development in the management of early childhood education prototype of the private schools. The data were obtained from 9 key persons at Satree Wat Paknam School (pseudonym) who differed in terms of gender, religion, and educational degree. Participants recruitment was done by using purposeful sampling which included 1 school director, 1 assistant director for early childhood education, 1 academic teacher, 3 kindergarten teachers (1 from each of the 3 kindergarten levels) and 3 representatives of student parents (1 from each of the 3 kindergarten levels). The research tools were semi-structure interview, relevant documents, and the experience of the researcher. The data obtained were analyzed using content analysis technique.
The study found that the educational curriculum development in the management of early childhood education prototype of the private school case study (Satree Wat Paknam school) includes 1) an integration of project approach in the early childhood curriculum 2) use of Christian principles 3) evaluation of student progress 4) recognition of the “voice of customers” 5) continuous integration of local wisdom. This study revealed that the mentioned methods made Satree Wat Paknam strong in early childhood education management, especially on the development of curriculum.
