The Results of 5es Learning Cycle Supplemented with Learning Skill Exercises on Science Learning Outcome of Grade 4 Students

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to 1) study the efficiency of  5Es learning cycle plans supplemental with skill exercises 2) compare the science achievement of grade 4 students between before and after with 5Es learning cycle supplemental with learning skills exercises 3) compare the scientific process skills of grade 4 students between before and after with 5Es learning cycle supplemental with learning skills exercises 4) study the satisfaction of grade 4 students towards on 5Es learning cycle supplemental learning with skills exercises. The sample consisted of 42 grade 4 students in the first semester of the academic year 2023 at Holy Redeemer Ban Dung School by cluster random sampling. The research instruments were 1) lesson plans. 2) skills exercises 3) science achievement tests had difficulty values between 0.57 - 0.77 discrimination values between 0.40 - 0.60, and  reliability values was 0.87 4) the scientific process skills tests had difficulty values between 0.60 - 0.77 discrimination values between 0.47 - 0.87, and  reliability values was 0.89 5) the satisfaction questionnaire. The statistics for data analysis comprised; mean, standard deviation, percentage, E₁/E₂ and t-test for dependent samples. The study's findings included the following: 1) The efficiency of 5Es learning cycle plans supplemental with learning skills exercises value equal E₁/E₂ to  88.63/85.33 2) The science achievement of grade 4 students after learning was significantly higher than before at the .05 levels.3) The scientific process skills of grade 4 students after learning was significantly higher than before at the .05 levels.4) The grade 4 students satisfaction towards on 5Es learning cycle plans supplemental learning with skills exercises at the highest levels.
