GUIDELINES DEVELOPED INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE OPERATIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH BASIC EDUCATION STANDARDS: THE ADMINISTRATIVE AND MANAGEMENT PROCESSES OF EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF KAMPHAENG PHET PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study the past situation and problems that were faced when implementing internal quality assurance in line with basic education standards in the administrative and management processes of educational institutions; 2) compare the conditions of such implementations, segmented by the size of the educational institutions and work experience; 3) explore the guidelines that were used to improve internal quality assurance in line with basic education standards in the administrative and management processes of educational institutions affiliated with the Kamphaeng Phet Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The sample group consisted of 317 administrators and teachers, obtained using the Krejcie and Morgan table and multi-stage random sampling. Informants included 17 experts. Tools that were used included questionnaires and interviews. Data was analyzed using statistical software to find the mean, standard Deviation, frequency distribution, percentages, rankings, and One-way ANOVA (F-test).  Research Findings showed as follows: 1.The overall status of internal quality assurance operations, accordance basic education standards in the administrative and management processes of educational institutions, was found to be at a high level in all aspects. The aspect that performed the highest was the development of teachers and personnel, while the lowest-performing aspect was the management of information technology systems.2.The comparison of the status of implementing internal quality assurance based on basic education standards in the administrative and management processes of educational institutions, when segmented by the size of the institutions and categorized by work experience, showed no significant differences. 3.Guidelines for developing the operations of internal quality assurance in line with basic education standards for administrative and management processes of institutions were found to be: Institutions should establish operational guidelines consistent with the vision in their operational plans. There should be a plan to enhance educational quality with participation from all stakeholders. It was essential to develop innovative learning resources, both inside and outside the institution, to help students learn according to the set curriculum. Meetings involving relevant parties were organized to find ways to improve the quality assurance system in education.
