Competency And Needs For Self-Development According To The Professional Standards Of Teacher In Network Group 9 School Under Ratchaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to 1) Study the competency according to professional standards of teachers within network group 9 school under Ratchaburi primary educational service area office 1 2) explore need for self-development according to the professional standards of teachers within network group 9 The population in this study was 154 of government teachers and 8 of the informants are director and government teachers. The instruments used in the study included questionnaires and interview forms. The statistical methods employed for data analysis were mean, standard deviation and content analysis. The research results revealed that: 1. The overall of competency according to professional standards of teachers within network group 9 school under Ratchaburi primary educational service area office 1, was at the highest level ranking from high to low : morality ethics and code of conduct, innovation and information technology in education, measurement and evaluation of learning, learning management and classroom management, spirituality for teachers, research for learning development, educational quality assurance, educational philosophy, psychology for teachers, curriculum, language and culture.  2.need for self-development according to the professional standards of teachers, There is a need to self-development for all professions standards. Especially competency of language and culture. Must develop competency of communication all of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Must be used to communicate and transfer knowledge to students, convey meaning organizing learning activities and communication. Develop yourself to understand of both English, Burmese, and culture. Improve English to pass the test according to the specified standards.
