Development Guidelines for School Internal Supervision Based on the Buddha’s Desanavidhi 4 of School Administrators under Surin Primary Education Service Area Office 3

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to examine the conditions of internal supervision in schools based on School Administrators, 2) to study the methods for developing internal supervision in schools based on the Buddha’s Desanavidhi 4 of School Administrators, and 3) to evaluate the approaches for developing internal supervision in schools based on the Buddha’s Desanavidhi 4 of School Administrators. The research design was a mixed-methods approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative research. The instruments used included questionnaires administered to a sample of 300 school administrators and head teachers of the academic administration group, interview form for 9 key informants, and research evaluation form for 11 experts. Data were analyzed using statistical measures i.e. percentages, means, and standard deviations, as well as content analysis. The results of the study were found that: 1) The overall level of internal supervision conditions conducted by school admin administrators were at a high level. 2) The methods for developing internal supervision in schools based on the Buddha’s Desanavidhi 4 of School Administrators revealed a total of 39 approaches for enhancing internal supervision in schools, which were in accordance with Santasana, Samadapana, Samuttejana, and Sampahangsana as outlined in the Buddha’s Desanavidhi 4. 3) The evaluation of the appropriateness and feasibility of the approaches for developing internal supervision in schools based on the Buddha’s Desanavidhi 4 of school Administrators were highly appropriate and feasible in overall.
