The THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE SKILLS OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS IN THE DIGITAL AGE AND THE PERFORMANCE OF TEACHERS IN SCHOOLS UNDER THE NAKHON SAWAN PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 1

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the skills of school administrators in the digital age, 2) to study the level of teachers’ performance in schools, and 3) to find the relationship between the skills of school administrators in the digital age and the level of teachers’ performance in schools according to the opinions of school administrators and teachers. The sample group used in this research consisted of school administrators and teachers, with a total of 297 people determined from Krejcie and Morgan’s table by proportional comparison and simple random sampling. The research instrument was a five-point rating scale questionnaire with a total of 144 items. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and Pearson’s correlation coefficient. The results showed that: 1) the overall skills of school administrators in the digital age were at the highest level. Considering each aspect, the skill with the highest mean was digital communication skills, while the skill with the lowest mean was technology and digital usage skills. 2) The overall teachers’ performance in schools was at a high level. Considering each aspect, the aspect with the highest mean was learning management, while the aspect with the lowest mean was teachers’ duty performance. 3) The relationship between the skills of school administrators in the digital age and teachers’ performance in schools was found to be a high positive correlation, consistent with the hypothesis, with statistical significance at the .01 level.
