A Needs Assessment of Using Information Technology for Budget management of school under the office of Sisaket Primary Educational Service Area 4

Abstract

The purposes of the study were 1) to study the current condition and the desirable condition of using information technology for budget, 2) to study the need assessment of using information technology for budget management and 3) to study the guidelines for using information technology for budget management of school. The samples were 136 directors and 195 teachers, total 331 people that were selected by stratified random sampling. The instrument were questionnaire and interview. The statistics included percentage, mean, standard deviation and Priority Needs Index. The research findings revealed that 1) the current condition of using information technology for budget management of school were overall at a high level, 2) the current condition were overall at the highest level, 3) The results of the study on the level of needs assessment ranked in order from most to least as follows: Budget preparation and proposal Budget allocation, Accounting management, Auditing, monitoring, evaluation and reporting, budget allocation, resource mobilization and investment for education, and material and asset management have the lowest level of needs assessment and 4) Guidelines for using information technology for budget management of school In terms of budget preparation and proposal, tools such as Google Form and Excel, In terms of auditing, monitoring, evaluation and reporting, Google Drive and Google sheet for reporting results. In terms of budget allocation, Google Calendar and Google Sheet should be used for planning and timely tracking of information and In terms of accounting management, ready-made programs such as SFZeasy
